Senior Activities
Keeping active in mind and body

Many able-bodied seniors want opportunities for social interaction and to keep their minds alert and bodies healthy. Because those on fixed incomes have limited resources for socializing, recreation and education, Keystone’s Merriam Park Seniors Program provides year-round activities that support participants’ independence and enhance their quality of life.

PROGRAM SUMMARY
There is something for just about every interest in this diverse program for seniors ages 55 and up. Volunteers, both seniors and non-seniors, play a major role in carrying out program activities. Seniors also volunteer with other Keystone programs. A "think tank" of senior participants meets regularly to develop program ideas for the following types of activities:

• Senior exercise
• Workshops and educational presentations
• Recreation, such as dance lessons, cards, seasonal parties
• Health clinics and health-related programs
• Support groups
