Planned Giving

Make a lasting impact, supporting your community and programs at Keystone you value.

Your Gift Today is a Future Gift for your Community.

A planned gift allows you to make a lasting contribution reflecting the values and passions important to you. Your support shapes the future of Keystone Community Services to ensure we will be able to serve youth, seniors and families for generations to come.

This form of charitable giving makes a lasting impact on the community and involves a person’s assets or estate rather than current income. You can arrange to make a planned gift in several ways, including a will. Many people set aside a certain dollar amount or leave a percentage of their estate. Some planned gifts can be designed to accomplish certain financial goals such as reducing your tax obligation.

Please contact us to discuss your planned gift goals. Call Jen Winterfeldt, Director of Development and Community Engagement at 651-603-6650 or reach her by via email at info@keystoneservices.org.

Give from your IRA today

Donors age 70.5 or older are eligible to give tax-free gifts directly from their IRA and create an immediate impact with Keystone. IRA gifts reduce your future tax burden, meaning you could stay in a lower income bracket come filing time. You can contact the holder of you IRA funds and ask them to issue a check to Keystone.

If you have any questions about this process, call Keystone at 651-645-0349 and our development staff can give you some resources for more information.

Looking for other ways to support Keystone?

There are many ways for you to share your love with our community and make a meaningful impact. You can support Keystone by gifting stock, sending a grant from your donor advised fund, give a memorial or tribute gift to honor or memorialize a special person in your life online, send a check, or find your unique way to support your community.

Meet Marge, Who has Proudly Made a Planned Gift to Keystone

Marge Betts is committed to the long-term sustainability of Keystone Community Services. The organization has been close to heart for a long time. Marge has lived in the Merriam Park neighborhood for many years and raised her family in this community. Her children attended the pre-school and loved participating in the many programs offered at the Merriam Park Community Center. For Marge and her family, the community aspect of the Keystone is very important.

Today, Marge is very active in Keystone’s senior program. She loves coming to the community center that was so beloved by her kids and enjoys participating herself in the many activities at the center. Every week, you can find Marge attending exercise classes, planning parties, or socializing with her friends.

For all of these reasons and many more, Marge is honored to have named Keystone in her estate plans.

Giving is an Extension of Your Values

Marge says, “As we age, most of us want to give something back and for me I want to give back to Keystone because this place has meant so much to me and my family.”

Marge appreciates that setting up her trust was not complicated and she still lives comfortably, enjoying her retirement life. And most of all, Marge rests easy knowing her estate plans reflect her values and will continue to support the organization that has meant so much to her.

Estate plans and bequests can help you leave a legacy in ways that are important to you and can lessen the tax burden for your family. You can set aside a percentage, specific dollar amount, or make a beneficiary designation on your assets.

Is Keystone already in your will, trust or other estate plans?  Thank you! Please contact us to let us know about your plans because it helps Keystone plan for the future. Your gift may remain anonymous if you like.

Don’t have a will? You’re not alone! Now is a great time to start planning, and please consider including a bequest to Keystone in your estate plans.  Contact Keystone for suggested “bequest language” and the Keystone tax ID for you to share with your attorney.
