Supportive Services
Toward strength and hope for the future

Working poor and unemployed individuals and families are often the first to suffer during difficult economic times, and they are frequently the last to recover. They often have few resources to fall back on when a serious illness, sudden layoff or unexpected expenses occurs. Keystone’s supportive services help struggling individuals and families cope with short-term problems and develop long-term strategies for self-sufficiency.

PROGRAM SUMMARY

Basic Needs and Emergency/Short Term Case Management Services: Keystone staff offer immediate and practical help with basic needs such as food, clothing, transportation and housing. Staff are available to meet with the individual/family either at their home or at a convenient Keystone location.

Long Term Case Management Services: Keystone staff provide intensive case management services to families who are at risk of losing custody of their children due to chronic neglect and/or abuse. Services include weekly home visits and regular phone contact.

Community Alternatives for Disabled Individuals (CADI) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI): Individuals with significant disabilities receive a variety of services and support to make it possible for them to successfully live at home in their communities.

Information and Referral: Keystone is a point of contact for people to find helpful community services. Assistance is provided over the phone or in-person at Keystone locations.

Community-donated Resources

  • Adopt-a-Family helps families in need in December by providing some of the "extras" that make the season special. Donations of individually identified gifts by individuals, churches and companies make the program possible. To find out how to participate as a donor in the Keystone Adopt-a-Family program call 651-603-6650.
  • To help as a volunteer, call the volunteer office at 651-603-6650.
  • School supplies donated by community residents are distributed to low-income families prior to the start of the school year and throughout the year.
  • Clothing and toys – a maternity clothes closet and an infant/children’s clothing and toy shelf are open throughout the year and depend on donations from the community.
