Lincoln charms Meals on Wheels clients with his sweet smile as he and his mother, Kelly, make their rounds delivering hot meals to homebound elderly and disabled individuals in St. Paul. Delivering meals is a volunteer role that Kelly selected several years ago because she could do it with her two children. “Both boys love going with me to deliver meals and most clients seem to get a big kick out of them,” Kelly said. Delivering Meals on Wheels has taught her boys respect for older adults. “They are used to seeing people with walkers and in wheelchairs and aren’t fearful or shy at all. Delivering meals normalizes the elderly for children in a wonderful way.”
