Fighting hunger on Thanksgiving morning

Thanks to Keystone supporters like the John Wagner family pictured here for turning out for this year's Walk to End Hunger at the Mall of America on Thanksgiving morning, November 25, 2010.  "We are so appreciative of supporters who came to the Walk on Thanksgiving morning as well as those who made gifts to Team Keystone," said Keystone president Eric Nyberg. "It was a terrific event raising more than $275,000 in online contributions for all the participating hunger organizations. While we're not sure yet of the total dollars earmarked for Keystone, it's clear many donors gave generously in support of our three foodshelves and the many thousands of people who depend on them." Here are more scenes from the event.

Keystone volunteers and staff took donations during a KARE 11 phone bank the day before Thanksgiving. Back row, left to right, are Jason Kemp, Troy Midboe, Keystone community resource manager Margo Kemp and Robert Tjostelson. On the front row are volunteers from Hunger Solutions along with Christine Pulver (third from left), Keystone's Basic Needs program manager.
